Six more arrested in Hinesville arson cases

Further investigation into the spring arson cases has resulted in the arrest and charge of 6 more people.

Hinesville Fire Department Captains Jerry Heath and Robert Kitchings, with assistance from Hinesville Police Department Investigator Tony Mitchner, were able to arrest and charge the following individuals in relation to the arson cases occurring on Wednesday, March 27 (Jungle Jake’s Hobbies and Games) and Saturday, April 13 (Gamers Only):

 Williams Rumsey, charged with arson and burglary – party to a crime (both felony charges)

 Heather Rumsey, charged with hindering the apprehension and punishment of a criminal and false statements (both felony charges)

 Levi Feltus, charged with hindering the apprehension and punishment of a criminal and false statements (both felony charges)

 Cera McDaniel, charged with false statements (felony charge) and theft by receiving (misdemeanor charge)

 Zakary Darby, charged with theft by receiving (misdemeanor charge)

 Brandon Groolsby, charged with theft by receiving (misdemeanor charge)

An additional arrest was made on April 19 in connection with this case.

Further details will be released pending conclusion of the investigation.

Robert Kitchings arsonist update
