The Liberty County Chapter of the Savannah State National Alumni Association (SSUNAA) has selected Dr. Lelia Jones as their chapter queen for 2026-27.

Dr. Jones is a proud native of Liberty County and a distinguished alumna of Liberty County High School. She continued her academic journey at Savannah State College, now Savannah State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics, in 1975.

Dr. Jones furthered advanced her education by earned a master of Arts degree in Health Care Administration and Personnel Management, and a Doctorate in Christian Education.

A dedicated alumna and community leader, Dr. Jones is a charter member of the SSUNAA Liberty County Chapter, where she proudly serves as chapter chaplain. Through her commitment to faith, service, education and community, she continues to make an impact.
