As more reports come out about deadly storms in the Midwest and north Georgia expecting storms, only a slight chance of rain and storms is forecast for our area through Wednesday.
The National Weather Service forecast only a 20 percent chance of rain this afternoon and overnight with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Clouds will be partly cloudy with southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph. Patchy fog will develop after midnight and continue into Wednesday morning.
The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies Wednesday night and into Thursday when a front moves through and the chance of rain and storms increases to 50 percent. The high Thursday will be in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
It's supposed to clear Thursday night and remain that way through the weekend with highs in the upper 70s and lows near 60 through Sunday.
