The City of Hinesville has been named a Tree City USA for the 35th consecutive year, dating back to 1988. 

Joining Keep Liberty Beautiful executive director Dr. Karen Bell and Hinesville Downtown Development Authority executive director Michelle Ricketson for the announcement were Mayor Karl Riles, Council members Diana Reid, Vicky Nelson, Dexter Newby and Jose Ortiz and City Manager Kenneth Howard.
