Two people forced out of home by Tuesday afternoon fire

Two people were displaced from their Hinesville home after a fire damaged their residence Tuesday afternoon.

Hinesville Fire Department fire fighters were dispatched to a fire on Brett Drive at 4:02 p.m. Upon arrival, fire fighters encountered fire on the outside and inside of the condominium. The fire made its way into the home’s attic. Hinesville Fire Department public affairs officer Alex Mason said the fire was placed under control quickly.

Mutual aid was requested from Liberty County Fire Services Station 15 for additional manpower.

There were no reported injuries. The displaced individuals declined help from the Red Cross and will be staying with family.
