Cub Scout Pack 500 in Liberty County received a special treat Tuesday night when the Scouts and their leaders had an opportunity to meet Liberty County and Fort Stewart first responders just outside the gates of Wright Army Airfield to learn what these various groups do inside Fort Stewart and outside the Liberty County community.

The boys watched a demonstration on the use of a police dog hosted by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and how forestry prevents and fights forest fires. There was also a display showcasing the wildlife within the Fort Stewart area, as well as military equipment.
