Western Power Sports to add 90 jobs to local economy

Ron Tolley, executive director of the Liberty County Development Authority, called for holiday red and green ribbon to package 90 new jobs brought into Liberty County.

The LCDA last week signed and sealed a package of about $20 million in revenue bonds to bring Western Power Sports’ distribution center to the Tradeport East business park in eastern Liberty County. “It will make a merry Christmas for the parties involved,” he said.

The company is expected to employ about 90 people at its 33-acre site along Sunbury Road.  The LCDA sold the property for $309,135

Based in Boise, Idaho, Western Power Sports was incorporated in 1960 and distributes over 130,000 products that include offroad and street motorcycle, All Terrain Vehicle, snowmobile, and watercraft parts and accessories to thousands of dealers nationwide.
