A woman was struck by a vehicle Thursday night on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville.

According to Hinesville Traffic Investigator Sgt. Michael Ramirez, the woman, who was on a bicycle, and her boyfriend were crossing the highway in front of Lowe’s when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound shortly before 8 p.m. Her boyfriend, who was ahead of her, was not hit.

The woman was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah where her condition is unknown.

The accident remains under investigation.
