Although the municipal elections will take place about a month from now, there’s only a couple of days left to register to vote. So, anyone in Allenhurst, Hinesville, Riceboro and Walthourville who wants to voice their choices for mayor and city council in their respective towns must sign up no later than Tuesday.
Voter registration forms are available at the Liberty County Voter Registration Office at 102 S. Commerce St. in Hinesville. Those who register there, can do so without photo identification.
Residents who opt to mail their voter registration form to the office must include an accepted form of photo identification — a current or expired Georgia driver’s license, government issued photo ID, U.S. passport, military ID, tribal photo ID; or federal, state, county or municipal employee photo ID — along with their application.
Applicants must be legal residents of Georgia to be eligible.
The chance to vote for representatives in these municipal offices only occurs once every four years. Don’t miss the opportunity to vote for the candidate you feel will represent you best.
Remember, our troops are putting their lives on the line every day to give us the freedom to vote.
