Editor: My oh my, this BoE fiasco seems to be like the Energizer Bunny - it just keeps going and going and going.
That is not necessarily a bad thing as long as the truth keeps being revealed.
And this is where the surprise comes.
Who would have thought that our very own connoisseur of food and reviewer of food establishments would prove to be the Bull Dog investigator this situation warranted?
Perhaps her byline needs to read Bull Dog Leon, hereafter being BDL.
The April 2 edition revealed BDL tracked down and advised us of the AdvanceED report of the BoE problems identified more than a year ago. Apparently none of the Members read the report as the same is true today.
And for sure chair Baker and super Lee didn’t put it out for public viewing. BDL did.
Prior to that, BDL apparently sought out and ultimately received access to the public supported phones BoE Members were issued. Boy oh boy, those texts sure put an end to the "he said, she said."
Perhaps the Feds should seek guidance from BDL on how to get-er done.
I’m figuring in the long run BDL will get to the bottom of this whole mess and the members will hopefully fess up to not being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.
What will probably not change is super Lee will smile as she leaves Liberty County with $190,000 of taxpayer monies for doing absolutely nothing.
Monies never to be recouped.
Perhaps if the BoE Members returned the taxpayer funded monthly stipend they receive it would at least be a step in the right direction.
What do ya think Bull Dog?
Just my two cents and that’s all I’m gonna say about it…(I think).
