Is the United States ready for another war?

An International Atomic Energy Agency report says that Iran is a major nuclear threat. The IAEA shared satellite images, letters and diagrams with 35 nations to support its claim. Iran claims that its nuclear program is for peaceful energy use only. Can we believe Iran? Can we believe the IAEA? Remember, the American people once were told that Saddam Hussein was developing nuclear weapons, yet we found none.
Just how reliable is this information? The IAEA said it had information indicating Iran had carried out tests “relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device.” Can we ignore the possibility that Iran secretly is building a nuclear bomb? If such a weapon is being developed, the balance of power in the Middle East will tilt from our friends to our enemies. Imagine what a nuclear bomb would do in the hands of Al-Qaida, our sworn enemy?
We can’t afford to be wrong as we face this dilemma. According to an unnamed senior United Kingdom Foreign Office official, an attack by Israel on Iran could be a reality. This same source reportedly told the Daily Mail newspaper that an attack could take place by the end of this year or early next year.
While the intelligence mounts, President Barack Obama has his head in the sand, hoping this all will go away if he ignores the evidence that has been presented by Israel and other sources. He has been sucking up to Iran, trying to make them like us, even though the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, once said “that the Jewish state of Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth and the infidels of the West (America) must be defeated.” He further claimed, “You should know that no enemy of the Iranian people has ever tasted victory.” I guess he forgot Alexander the Great.
The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, “Anybody who takes up the idea of an attack on Iran should get ready to receive a strong slap and an iron fist by the Iranian armed forces.” Israel is surrounded by enemies, intent on its destruction. An attack on Iran by Israeli forces will bring about serious repercussions that will drag the entire Middle East into a horrific conflagration. Such a conflict will start a war worse than Afghanistan or Iraq as terrorists around the world would try to inflict serious damage on America.
According to The Hundu, a Dubai newspaper, Iran and Russia signed a wide-ranging security pact. The agreement signed by the Deputy Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Baqeri and his Russian counterpart, Yevgeny Lukyanov, “incorporates various aspects of collaboration between the national security councils of Iran and Russia. We know that Russia supports the Iranian nuclear program, but just how far would they go?
The worst part of this affair is that the United States cannot afford to make a mistake and allow Iran to become a nuclear power. We cannot allow ourselves to be deceived and cut the military budget, which the liberals are attempting to do. We need to be prepared for another major conflict.
Even Obama said, “We are not taking any options off the table. Iran with nuclear weapons would pose a threat not only to the region but also to the United States.”  President Theodore Roosevelt said, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” Our military is our big stick.
