Editor, It was so pathetic to see my elected officials sprawled on the sidewalk in front of the historic courthouse in the photo published in Sunday’s Courier.
They were protesting recent grand-jury decisions handed down in Ferguson, Missouri, and New York City. However, I would think that they were elected to support government actions to include court decisions. I would recommend that they express their opposition in an editorial or other written communication that would allow them to state the reasoning behind their actions.
Obviously, the small turnout and lack of the full demographic of our community showed them in a foolish light.
