Editor, Thanks to the greater Liberty County community for its recent support of the encore performance of the hit stage play, “With My Spiritual Eyes I Can See.” This original Love-It Productions play served as the benefit kickoff for the Liberty County Manna House’s fundraising campaign. The sanctuary at Bethesda Church nearly was filled to capacity with an enthusiastic audience of church groups, families with children, elected officials and friends from neighboring counties. Approximately 500 canned goods and donations of varying amounts were collected as admission to the play. These funds were donated to the Manna House to qualify for a matching grant. According to Manna House Director Katrina Deason, the donations continue to flow in.
Starring roles in the production were played by Sideeq Heard, Charlotte L. Norman, Kenneth Howard, Ritchie Anderson, Randy Knox, Larry Baker, Carolyn Simmons, Ann K. Baker and Tiasha Solomon. Newcomers LaShae Wiliams, Enrique Espada, Nicholas Lovette and Lauryn Baker made their debuts with Love-It Productions.  Reviews such as “superior production,” “your best work yet” and “I will never miss another one of your shows” were echoed by an engaged audience. Kudos to a gifted cast for an excellent demonstration of the level of local talent. The music ensemble of Jerry Sapp, Joshua Weston and the Midway Anointed Singers was the perfect backdrop for the production. The well-received opening act, Truly Blessed, performed original music to introduce itself to the Liberty County community.
This successful cultural collaboration could not have been possible without the appreciated sponsorship of Jones, Osteen and Jones; Georgia Power; city of Flemington; Liberty Regional Medical Center; Strategic Business Solutions; Johnson Family Dentistry; Fraser Counseling Center; the Coastal Courier; Buckley and Associates; and Family Dentistry (Dr. Simmons). I extend a special thanks to the host, Pastor Tim Byler, and the Bethesda Church family. The support staff of Andrew Williams, DeLisa Espada, Brenda Baker, Shakur Freeney, Carolyn Simmons, Joseph Winn and The Brentwood Media Group ensured the structure was in place for a successful production. Thanks again to all for the rave reviews, support and the encouragement to take our plays on the road. Stay tuned!
