The St. James Coastal Crew Rebels’ seventh-grade basketball team took first place at the AAU Tip-Off Classic. The tournament was in Jacksonville on Feb. 20.
The Rebels went 5-0 for the first place trophy. Rebels’ coach Dana King Jr. said the team is focused.

“These kids are working hard before and after school on becoming student athletes,” he said, noting most are maintaining near B averages. “They are putting in work and helping out in every way they can in the community. It takes a village to raise a child. Please support this exceptional group of young men.”

King said the boys are seeking donations for a trip to the Georgia Cup in Atlanta March 18-20.
