Scott’s All Stars had tryouts Feb. 21 and more than 20 players participated. The team, which combines basketball with academic performance, is for fourth-graders who maintain a B average, perform community service and require no disciplinary action at school. Scott’s All-Stars is sponsored by the YMCA, Chatham Eye Associates, PC, Comprehensive OB/GYN and the Hi-Fidelity Civic Club. Scott's All-Stars is coached by head coach Darrell West, assistant coach/president Marcus Scott IV, assistant coach Khari Collins and assistant coach Kevin Corwick. The squad’s first tournament is in Atlanta this weekend.
