BI sweeps Brunswick

The Bradwell Institute volleyball team is doing well this season. On Aug. 18, the girls defeated Brunswick in three straight sets.

Lady Tiger Kierra Waites scored 16 points. Amelia Brooks and Lanice Moore scored 10 points each. Kylee Nihipali scored eight points.
Moore and freshman Ky’Leo Worriels had a perfect 100 percent serving percentage according to volleyball coach De’Andre Davis.

That same day the junior varsity girls, who were undefeated, finished the Lady Pirates off in three sets as well.
For the JV girls Sofia Heard had 20 points. Worriels scored 19 and Vivica Gray scored seven.

Heard was 21 for 21 serving and Vivica Gray was 7 for 7.

In the third match, Heard and Worriels scored all of the team’s fifteen points.
On Aug. 23 Bradwell hosted Brunswick and First Presbyterian Christian Academy. The Lady Highlanders beat the Lady Tigers in two sets (25-17, 25-23).

The home team girls then rematched Brunswick but this time fell after three sets (25-22, 27-25 and 15-13).

The Lady Tiger volleyball team travels to Effingham County Thursday for games beginning at 4 p.m.
