Long County’s baseball game Friday against Jeff Davis was canceled because of bad weather and rescheduled for April 26.

However, the Blue Tide will be back on the field Tuesday when the Charlton County Indians come to town.

The Indians bring a 4-4 overall record into the game and the Tide are 3-5. Neither team has won a region game this season, but the upcoming match will change that. The losing team will be at the bottom of the Region 2-AA standings.

On paper, the teams appear pretty evenly matched on offense and defense.

The Tide is averaging 6.1 runs a game, having put up 49 runs in eight games. The Charlton team is averaging 6.5 runs a night, having scored 52 runs in eight appearances.

The Tide has given up 45 runs for a 5.6 average, while the Indians have allowed 42 for a 5.3 game average.

The game in Ludowici starts at 6 p.m.
