Long County football standout Jamin Davis recently attended Junior Day at the University of Louisville.
The by-invitation event was Feb. 6, with prospects from all over the country attending.

While on the campus, Davis toured the facilities and attended a basketball game. He also attended meetings with position coaches, coordinators, strength coaches, nutrition staff and academic advisors.

Davis drew the attention of the Cardinal coaching staff after having an outstanding junior season. He said Louisville defensive coaches told him to continue to working hard, and they hoped he would be joining them in the future.

According to MaxPreps.com, as a defender for the Blue Tide this year Davis had 131 total tackles, 91 of which were solo. He also scored six touchdowns on the offense and another on special teams.

Other schools that have expressed interest him are Mercer and Tulane.
