Bradwell Institute and Liberty County were in Reidsville Friday and Saturday for the Warriors Blast Tournament.
Liberty got two victories in back-to-back games. In the first, the Lady Panthers played Bryan County. Liberty trailed 2-1 early in the game, but fought back off solid hits to win 5-2.

Lady Panthers Tia Anderson and Kiara Edwards were both hit by pitches during the game. But that helped to advance runners and a hit by Madison Winn began a flurry of scoring.
Junior Meleina Davis had a strong showing on the mound and pitched the full game. Pitching for the Lady Redskins was Shelby Barfield.

Immediately following the game, the Lady Panthers switched fields and took on Wheeler County. The outcome of that game was much closer with the Lady Panthers edging out a 5-4 win.

Bradwell played one game Friday evening, falling 9-1 against Bryan County.
Full stats from the tournament were still being compiled by press time. Both teams had games scheduled yesterday.

A wrap up of the tournament will be in Wednesday’s Courier.
