The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers showed just how relentless their defense can be in defending their home court Saturday evening.
Bradwell held Liberty County without a field goal for a nine-minute stretch in the first half, and the Lady Tigers rolled to a 74-27 win over the rival Lady Panthers at the BI gym.
The Lady Tigers improved to 14-2 on the season with the win. Liberty fell to 3-7.
After the Lady Panthers got within 7-5 with 5:40 left in the first quarter, the Lady Tigers held them to five points for the remaining 13:40 of the first half.
Parris Parham led the way with 20 points and six rebounds, while DeLisha Milton-Jones Player of the Game Destini McLemore had 16 points, six boards and six steals.
Ja’Nya Bush had 14 for the Lady Tigers, while Ty’Tyana Anderson added eight points and Jordyn Rogers scored seven.
Ritza Troche had 15 points to lead the Lady Panthers.
The Tigers are on the road for the next three games, starting Saturday at Brunswick, and their next home game is January 21 against Glynn Academy.
Liberty will host Groves on Friday and will host Johnson on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in two Region 3-AAA games. Liberty will travel on January 14 to face Cross (S.C.) High School.
