Corn-hole tourney, chili cook-off set
Long County High School’s inaugural FFA Alumni corn-hole tournament/chili cook-off will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the high school in Ludowici.
The event will be held rain or shine. Registration for the corn-hole tournament is $10 per person. Boards and bags will be supplied, and the games will utilize official corn-hole rules and regulations. Registration for the chili cook-off is $25. Entrants must prepare one gallon of chili to serve and bring their own cooking utensils and serving equipment. Sample spoons, cups and napkins will be provided. Judging begins at noon. After judging, all remaining chili will go on sale for $2 per bowl. All proceeds of the sales will go to the Long County High School FFA Alumni.

Coastal Crew Rebels to have tryouts

The St. James Coastal Crew Rebels will hold tryouts for seventh-grade boys from 3-5 p.m. Feb. 1, at the St. James Sports Center, 1140 Holmestown Road.
