Former NFL coach and player Dan Reeves will be the guest speaker Friday at the 2017 Fellowship of Christian Athletes fundraiser banquet in Jesup.

The banquet is being presented by the Bone and Joint Institute of South Georgia and will take place at the Coastal Pines C. Paul Scott Polytechnic Center at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the night will go to the Altamaha FCA chapter which consist of Long, Liberty, and Wayne Counties.

As a coach, Reeves led the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl in 1999 and the Denver Broncos in 1987, 1988 and 1990. He also went to the Super Bowl as a player for the Dallas Cowboys in 1971 and 1972. He was born in Rome where he played football, baseball and basketball for Americus High School and then went on to play football for the University of South Carolina.

FCA students and coaches from both Long and Liberty counties will attend the banquet. Tickets cost $25 and are available from Altamaha FCA Director Dylan Brown at 912-294-5362 or dylanbrown@fca.org .
