Long County High School was represented during the recent selection of the 2-AA All Region football team. The school had five players selected to the first team, which is the school’s best showing on any region team since the football program was introduced in 2002.On offense, juniors Darvis Holmes, Deandre Reddick and Brendon Scott were selected; Holmes at tight end, Reddick on the line and Scott as a running back.On the defensive side of the ball, seniors Mykoel Stanly was selected for his play on the line and Dequan Glover was chosen for excelling in the secondary.This year, the Blue Tide went 3-7, notching victories over Metter High School, New Hampstead and McIntosh County.
