Liberty County High School alumni and Kennesaw State senior Josh McNair won the Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor Championship in shot put last Friday in Johnson City, Tenn.

McNair’s heave of 54 feet, 2.5 inches was the second-longest in conference championship history, and his win, combined with his second-place finish in the weight throw, helped his team win the overall title for the second time in three years.

The conference championship was the second of McNair’s career and his third indoor championship. He won the shot put and the weight throw titles in 2008. McNair also won the 2008 outdoor title in the discus.
