Former Panther is Pirate standout

Former Liberty County Panther Kaneetha Gordon helped the AASU Lady Pirates to a 2-0 record in their final game of the 2007 Chatham Orthopedics Holiday Classic in Savannah on Dec. 19.
Gordon was able to rebound a missed shot and, with three seconds left on the game clock, made the basket giving the Lady Pirates the two-point lead and victory against Mars Hill.
Gordon finished the game with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
As of Dec. 19, Gordon averaged 14.1 points per game as a Lady Pirate. She is seven of 13 for the three-point shot has accumulated 14 assists, five blocks and four steals. She has 24 offensive rebounds and 62 defensive ones. She was named MVP at the recent Peach State Classic.
The Lady Pirates are now 7-2 overall and 1-1 in their conference.
Gordon’s parents are Ray and Mahalia Gordon of Midway.
