Former Panthers shine in exhibition games

Former Liberty County Panther Jordan McRae scored five points and grabbed seven rebounds during his first outing as a University of Tennessee Volunteer basketball player. The Vols hosted Division II Brevard College in an exhibition game Wednesday night.

Also making news was former Panther Rion Brown, who scored a game-high 16 points during his opener as a University of Miami Hurricane. The team won its exhibition game against Barry College 102-33.

According to the ’Canes athletic website, Brown scored 11 points in the first half, was five of seven from the field and four of six from behind the three-point line.
