The Georgia High School Association allowed football condition to begin Monday but they pushed back the start of football season from Aug. 21 to Sept. 4.
The decision was made during a GHSA Board of Trustees meeting held July 20, in Thomaston, Georgia, according to the meeting minutes.
The motion to push back the season until Sept. 4 was unanimously approved by the Board.
The Board affirmed that there would still be a 10-game regular season followed by five rounds of playoffs in football. All other GHSA fall sports will remain as scheduled on the current GHSA calendar. Here are the revised football schedules for the season.
