GSU football Walk-on meeting set

STATESBORO — A mandatory information meeting for Georgia Southern students interested in walking on to the Eagle football team is at 5 p.m., Feb. 11, at the Ted Smith Family Football Center, 205 Lanier Drive.
Tryouts will be held at 5 p.m. Feb. 18. Candidates must be Georgia Southern students enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours for spring 2015.
Documents required at the information meeting for each student include:
• Copy of student’s spring 2015 class schedule verifying full-time enrollment
• A copy of a physical exam conducted within six months of February 18 tryout date
• Copy of the front and back of a medical-insurance card
• Signed originals of the required sports medicine forms available at tinyurl.com/GSFBtryoutsF2014
Candidates who do not present the required documents at the Feb. 11 meeting will not be permitted to try out at this time. For more information about the meeting, required documents or tryouts, contact Shane Meyer at 912-478-5522.
Participants must meet NCAA eligibility standards and agree and comply with the Georgia Southern and NCAA drug-testing policy.
Season tickets on sale
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern football season tickets for the upcoming 2015 season are on sale.
New season tickets will be assigned seats after the renewal deadline of April 14. Season-ticket prices remain the same for the 2015 season, and options are available to buy club-level seats.
