The Long County Blue Tide soccer teams again made the state playoffs this year, marking 10 straight seasons for the boys and 11 for the girls. The teams were both led by some impressive athletes during the season and they were honored recently with the Region 3-AAA all region teams.
A total of 13 players were given all-region honors at the recent region meeting, with the girls placing nine on the teams and the boys placing four.
Leading all selections was Lady Tide junior Macey Higgason as she was named Region 3-AAA Most Outstanding Player. She led the region with 22 goals scored and also led the Lady Tide with 11 assists.
Seniors Kaiden Boshers and Ciara O’Brien, junior Makaila Quintero and sophomore Jersi Lester were named to the all-region first team.
The Lady Tide also had four make the second team, with seniors Abbey Tewalt and Maddison Chambers and juniors Myjah Fedon and Safeara McGhee receiving those honors.
For the boys, senior Aidan Rollins was the lone selection for the first team after an impressive season on defense.
Juniors Dylan Tyler and Taejuan Allen and sophomore Eli Gumataotao were named to the second team.
Returning to the Blue Tide in 2026 will be a total of eight players, five for the girls and three for the boys.
