First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s boys are looking to close out the basketball season with a 10-0 region 2-AA mark.

The Highlanders beat Robert Toombs Christian Academy, 94-75, Friday in Lyons and downed Citizens Christian Academy, 102-38, Saturday at home.

At Robert Toombs, Michael Beurnett drained 32 points to pace the boys and Desnear Carnes added 24. Richard Smith scored 13 points, John Killough added 10 for the top scorers.

Burnett led the team again Saturday with 24 points and Smith scored 16 points, while Carnes drained 14.

The FPCA boys are 15-2 overall and remain undefeated in the Georgia Independent School Association 2-AA classification.

The Highlanders are scheduled to host Memorial Day Tuesday for senior night game. Should the boys win, they would finish 10-0 in the region for the second straight season.

The girls will play at 6 p.m. and the boys game follows.
