First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s baseball team is 1-1-1 on the season after thumping Appling Christian, 14-1, Monday at home.
Jared Wells had two hits and three RBIs, and Dylan Stewart had two hits. K’ani Nunn also had a hit and scored four runs.
“K’ani Nunn was awesome on the mound, pitching four shutout innings, only allowing one hit,” FPCA coach Ryan Harmon said, adding that Nathan Burriss closed the game from the Highlanders’ bullpen.
The Highlanders lost to St. Andrews, 8-3, last Friday in Savannah.
FPCA opens region play Friday against Twiggs Academy in Jeffersonville.
