On May 16, the Mission Possible Basketball Team of Connection Church in Hinesville defeated the FIA Basketball Team of Richmond Hill 42-29 in the championship game to win the annual Liberty County Relay for Life Basketball Tournament.
The Relay for Life Mission Possible Team each year coordinates the tournament, which is held at the Shuman Recreation Center in Hinesville. A total of $941 was generated through a combined effort of tournament basketball teams and supporters of the Liberty County Relay for Life Mission Possible Team to help the American Cancer Society raise awareness of and win the fight against cancer.
