Liberty County High School and Bradwell Institute suffered home losses on the softball diamond Monday.

Bradwell was swept by St. Vincent’s 8-0 and 7-3 in a Region 3-AAAAA doubleheader. The senior Tigers were recognized between games. Seniors Leana Corrette, Shania Eldridge, Mackenzie Stewart, Brianna Tootle, Chesney Giraldo and Tiara Taylor were honored with flowers and jars containing the dirt from the Lady Tigers’ softball field.

In the first game, Stewart and Corrette each had a hit in the loss. Stewart pitched the game, tossing six strikeouts.
Bradwell mustered five hits in game two and scored one run each in the second, third and final inning. The Lady Tigers were led by Madison Winn, who went 3 of 4 with one RBI. Eldridge and Tootle scored runs off St. Vincent errors.

Stewart struck out nine batters.
The Lady Tigers were scheduled to host Statesboro on Tuesday. Results were unavailable at press time. They went into the game 3-
15 overall and 0-5 in region play.

Today, they host South Effingham at 4:30 p.m. and play at Effingham County at 5 p.m. Friday.

Also Monday, Liberty County lost 3-1 Monday to Richmond Hill.

The Lady Panthers scored in the sixth inning to avoid the shutout.
The Lady Panthers were scheduled to host Windsor Forest on Tuesday afternoon in a Region 3-AAAA doubleheader.

Results were unavailable at press time.
The game between Liberty and Bradwell, that was set for Monday afternoon, has been cancelled.
