Lady Tigers 1st, Tigers 2nd at region meet

The Bradwell Institute track and field team recently competed in the Region 2-AAAAAA track and field meet, competing against Glynn Academy, Effingham County, Richmond Hill and Brunswick.

When the final scores were tallied, the Lady Tigers finished first with 164 points, toppling second place Glynn Academy with 136. The Tigers finished second with 174 points, six behind first place winner Richmond Hill.

For the Lady Tigers, Elizabeth Santiago took first in both the 200-meter and 400m dash, while teammate Imani Davenport took second in the 100m hurdles and first in the 300m hurdles. Sabria Green and Kyra Barney finished top two in the 100m dash with Green taking first and Barney taking second. Kyra also took second in the long jump and first in the triple jump. Kailey Brough finished third in the 1600m run and second in the 3200m run, while A’Bravion Felder obtained third in the 800m run.

The team of Barney, Davenport, Jayda Daniels and Enfinity Marshall took first in the 4x100m relay, while the 4x400m relay team (Barney, Davenport, Daniels, and Felder) took third. Tamia Clark took first in the high jump, while Marshall took second in the triple jump, and Kimyana Shropshire finished third in the pole vault.

For the boys, Terrius Crimiel took first in both the 110m and 300m hurdles, and also took second in the triple jump behind Dominic McClinton, who finished first. McClinton also finished first in the high jump, while Donald McClinton took first in the long jump. Da’Shaun Coleman finished second in the 400m dash, and Issac Coleman obtained third in the 800m run. The team of Da’Shaun Coleman, Lavorris Boyd, Terrius Crimiel, and Dominic McClinton finished second in the 4x100m relay, Josh Ingram finished first in the discus throw. KJ Milner finished second in the discus throw, and also took second in shot put.
