Lady Tigers softball run ends

Bradwell’s Lady Tiger softball team will be headed back home after suffering back-to-back losses to Tift County in the first round of the state softball tournament for the quad A Region.

The Tift County Blue Devils eked out a 3-run win in game one for a 6-3 victory. Just 90 minutes later they were headed to round two after defeating the Lady Tigers 13-3.

In other 3-AAAAA news, the Lady Wildcats of Camden County also were eliminated from the playoffs after losing 4-2 and 3-1 to Coffee County.

The Lady Jenkins Warriors were set to play Colquitt County for round one and Groves was scheduled to face Lowndes County. The results of those games were not posted on ga.prepcountry.com at press time.
