Their third win over Citizens Christian Academy turned out to be the most important.
The First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders won the GIAA Class A state boys basketball championship Friday, downing CCA 59-48 in Columbus.
FPCA and CCA met four times during the season. The Highlanders swept the regular-season games but the Patriots claimed an overtime win in the region championship game.
