(Media Release) The Special Olympics is a wonderful organization that provides our local Special Olympians an opportunity to compete and interact with their peers and receive encouraging support from our local community.

Student athletes ranging in age from 8 to 21 years old will be competing in the annual Liberty County Special Olympic Spring Games on April 14, 2017.

This year’s competition will be held at Long-Bell Stadium/Track at Liberty Independent Troop (LIT) Park located at 607 E. Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville, GA. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:00am.

We encourage the community to come out and support our local Special Olympic Athletes either as a spectator or a volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, please arrive at the event location at 9:00 am.
