Scott’s All*Stars’ sixth grade basketball team finished 1-2 last weekend in the North Carolina AAU tournament.
According to founder and coach Marcus Scott, his team played some nationally ranked programs and was competitive.
“Our goal is to improve every tournament,” he said. “We still have a few more things to work on fundamentally, but our kids are playing better every week.”
Scott said they also took the boys on a guided tour to Johnson Smith University.
“This was our second year touring this college, but was the first year for our new players,” he said. “The players that went last year stated that they still learned new things about the college. It was also good for them to compare this year’s trip to last year’s trip.”
