The Long County baseball team just keeps rolling along.
The Blue Tide picked up their sixth win in a row Friday as they beat McIntosh County, 5-2, in Ludowici.
Long County also has won their last four games against the Buccaneers.
With the region victory, the Tide improved their overall record to 12-5 and their Region 2-AA mark to 7-3.
Going into Saturday’s action, the Tide were in third place in the region behind Benedictine Military School (13-2, 8-1) and Jeff Davis County (10-4, 7-2).
On Saturday, Long County was scheduled to play a make-up a game against Jeff Davis in Hazlehurst.
Results for that big region game will be in Wednesday’s Coastal Courier.
On Tuesday, the Blue Tide will have a chance to narrow the gap between them and Benedictine as they travel to Chatham County to face the Cadets.  When the teams met earlier this year, the Tide never were in it and lost, 10-1.
The game begins at 4 p.m. in Savannah.
