Bradwell, Liberty soccer teams fall

Bradwell Institute and Liberty County High School had losses on the soccer field this past weekend.
On Friday, Liberty County hosted Wayne County at Donell Woods Stadium. The Liberty girls played first but lost, 6-0. The Lady Panthers’ record as of Monday was 1-7 overall and 0-5 in Region 3A-AAAA.
Afterward, the Panther boys took the field and played a tight match. They held off a few attacks, but the Yellow Jackets finally got one by the goalkeeper to win, 1-0. The Panther boys are 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the region.
The Panthers were set to honor their seniors Tuesday while hosting Calvary Day. Results were unavailable at press time. Liberty will play Wayne County on April 11 in Jesup.
On Saturday, Bradwell Institute lost a doubleheader to Tift County at Olvey Field. The Lady Tigers fell, 10-0, in the matchup. They currently are 5-4 overall and 4-3 in Region 3B-AAAAA. The Tiger boys lost, 6-0, and hold a 4-5 overall mark and 3-4 region record.
The Tigers host Windsor Forest at 5 p.m. Thursday.
