Career high 25 points for Brown

According to the University of Miami’s athletic website, former Liberty County High School basketball player and UM senior Rion Brown scored a career-high 25 points in the final game of the ACC/Big Challenge tournament Wednesday night.
Despite Brown’s effort, the ’Canes lost, 60-49, to Nebraska. Brown scored all but two of his 25 in the second half of the game. He also hit two trey shots and had three rebounds and two assists.
According to the report, Brown broke the Hurricanes’ scoreless streak to start the game, hitting a jumper from the right wing at the 15:30 mark.
Brown is one of only three Hurricanes who have started all nine games, and he leads the team in scoring with 124 points.
