Trailing 36-14 at the half, First Presbyterian Christian Academy nearly got their first win of the season with a tremendous second half performance.
The Highlanders scored on a drive, recovered a fumble for a touchdown and recovered an on-side kick they returned for another touchdown to close the gap against Robert Toombs Academy Friday at Long Bell Stadium. The Crusaders rallied back with a touchdown and held on to win 48-46 in a game that had the crowd on their feet until the buzzer blew.
Over at Olvey Field the Bradwell Tigers couldn't stop Glynn Academy's Jonathan Alford who rolled to three touchdowns in the first half and helped the Red Terrors shut out the Tigers 55-0.
