La Grange wide receiver and Bradwell alum Marsalis Jackson is the USA South Offensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 20, according to the school’s athletic website.
It is the third time this season Jackson has received the award.
On Saturday, Jackson set a new school record with 171 yards receiving in a 44-40 win over Huntingdon at home. He had five catches, two of which resulted in touchdowns, including a 66-yard score. For the season, Jackson leads the conference with 604 receiving yards, averaging 100.7 yards per game and 28.2 yards per catch with eight touchdowns.
The Panthers, who are 3-3 overall and 3-1 in league play, face Methodist at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fayetteville, N.C.
