Liberty wins home opener

It started off a bit slow but the Liberty County Panthers sooned gained a full head of steam and defeated Johnson High School 22-0 during their first home game of the season at Donell Woods Stadium.

Panthers Raekwon McMillan, JJ Grant and Jeremy Caldwell-Fabergas scored on two short runs and a pass respectively. The defense then scored a safety in the fourth quarter and kept the Atomsmashers from scoring during their final drive of the night.

Bradwell was at Charlton County where the defense was able to keep the score low but the offense failed to place points on the board. The Tigers lost 12-0.

First Presbyterian Christian Academy played their first away game tonight in North Augusta at Curtis Baptist. It was another barn-burner as the teams traded leads but the Highlanders came up one touchdown short losing 26-19.
