Libertys McMillan wins Butkus Award
Raekwon McMillan has been selected as the 2013 national high school Butkus Award winner.

Liberty County High School linebacker Raekwon McMillan has been selected as the 2013 national high-school Butkus Award winner as the nation’s top linebacker.
The announcement was made Tuesday.
This season, McMillan, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound linebacker/running back, had 159 tackles, 107 solo, three forced fumbles and an interception.
On offense, McMillan had 73 carries for 628 yards.
In a news release, the 51-person selection committee said, “One of the top college recruits in the country, McMillan has been a dominant performer at the high-school level, with the knockback power reminiscent of a young Dick Butkus.  He possesses superb balance, striking power and toughness. He is regarded by his coaches, teammates and recruiters to possess equally strong character — the kind of person who understands the significance and responsibility that comes with being honored with the Butkus Award.”
