Though the 2010-11 basketball season was a long one for the Lady Tide, one bright spot came this past Monday, when the All-Region 2-AA team was announced and Shameka Richardson was given honorable mention distinction.

"All of the ladies selected to the 2-AA team are fine individuals who stood out to not only me, but to all of the coaches in the region," Long County coach Ryan Bailey said. "I’m proud of Shameka for her efforts. By being noticed by the other coaches, she was a bright spot to a dismal season."

The Lady Tide were 1-24 overall record and 1-17 in Region 2-AA.
