First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s middle-school basketball teams are set to play and host their first Middle School Tip-Off on Dec. 6-8 at the St. James Sports Center.
The Highlanders are coming off a first place finish at the Thanksgiving Throwdown held Nov. 17 at Walker Middle School in Ludowici.
Varsity basketball coach Ernie Walthour said coach David Linderman’s middle-school team will face some new challenges in the tournament.
“It will be a bigger challenge for our boys because we have teams like Bethesda and Midway Middle School and they have a wealth of talent there (at Midway),” he said. “It will be a good challenge for us.”
The Lady ‘Landers will also get an opportunity to play against local middle schools.
Walthour said admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Concession will be available for sale.
