Georgia Bombers Turkey Bowl planned
The Georgia Bombers, a semi-professional football team, will host the Turkey Bowl at 4 p.m. Saturday at Duval-Henderson Park in Richmond Hill. The Bombers will play the Port City Pythons and sell raffle tickets for turkey giveaways. Admission is $3.

YMCA basketball registration going on
Registration for YMCA youth basketball for ages 3 and older is under way through Dec. 20. Volunteer coaches are needed. For more information, call 368-9622.

Youth and adult basketball registration will run through Nov. 16 at the Liberty County Recreation Department.  
Youth basketball is for Liberty County residents who turn 7 and do not turn 18 prior to Jan. 1, 2013.  Cost is $20 per participant.  Registration deadline is Nov. 16.  A birth certificate or other age verification must be on file at the LCRD for all participants.  Volunteer coaches are needed for all age divisions.  
Adult basketball is for ages 18 and older.  The entry fee is $150 per team.  The deadline for entries is Nov. 30.  For additional information and online registration, go to www.lcrd.net or call 876-5359.

football coming
Team entries are being accepted for adult flag football, which starts in January.  The program is for ages 16 and older. The entry fee is $200.  The deadline for entering a team is Nov. 30.  Call 876-5359.

Jiu jitsu training is open to participants ages 8 and older. Classes will be scheduled by appointment. For more information, call 368-2323.

Shrine Club golf tourney set
The Hinesville/Fort Stewart Shrine Club’s 27th annual golf tournament is Nov. 17 at Taylors Creek Golf Course on Fort Stewart.
The tournament is a four-person scramble and open to men and women. Registration is $50 per person; deadline is Nov. 14. The first 100 applicants will play. For more information, call Wayne Barnes at 977-4781 or James Williams at 977-8445.

Register now for body sculpting
Registration is under way for women’s body sculpting at the Liberty County Recreation Department. Classes are from 5-6 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday through Dec. 12, at the Liberty County High School weight room. The instructor is Liberty County High School track coach Keith McGee, a USAW-certified coach. The cost is $60. For information, call 876-5359.

Gift of Giving to Life 5K run/walk set
The Hinesville Police Department is hosting the inaugural Gift of Giving to Life 5K run/walk starting at 8 a.m. Nov. 17. The event will benefit the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Coastal Georgia.
Registration is $20 per person or $15 per person for groups of four or more. For more information, call 368-8211.

Coaches needed
Scott’s All-Stars is seeking coaches/mentors for the 2013 season, which starts in January.  Coaches must be dedicated, positive role models and available every weekend from February to July.
