Three Tigers named to All-Region list

Bradwell Institute baseball players Chris Bell, Sage Sammons and Ryan Desbiens have been named to the Region 3-AAAAA All-Region Team.
The players were selected by coaches from each high school in the region.
Bell, the Tigers’ third baseman, finished the year with a fielding percentage of .921 in 22 games. He had 14 putouts and 21 assists and caught two stealing. At the plate, Bell was 22 for 61 (.361) with two doubles and 11 runs batted in. Bell also threw 29 strikeouts this year on the mound.
Sammons, who made the list as a utility player, batted 20 of 54 (.370) with five doubles and a triple and also drove in 11 runs. His fielding percentage was .970 in 22 games with 15 assists. As a pitcher, Sammons notched 18 strikeouts.
Desbiens made the honorable-mention list. He batted 19 for 62 (.307) with three doubles, one triple and a home run and seven RBIs. On the mound, Desbiens tossed 20 strikeouts this season. His fielding percentage was .833 to go with 21 putouts and 24 assists.
