The Long County High School boys and girls basketball teams will take on the McIntosh County teams Tuesday in Darien.
The Blue Tide boys go into the game with a 1-2 record, coming off a big 54-47 victory over Wayne County two weeks ago. The boys have yet to play a Region 2B-AA game.  
According to MaxPreps.com, Wayne County has a 1-1 overall record and is 1-0 in the region.  Since 2004, the two schools have faced each other 20 times with the Blue Tide winning seven games and the Buccaneers winning 13.  In the last contest, the game came down to the wire, but McIntosh County pulled off a 44-40 victory.
The Lady Tide go into the game still looking for their first win of the year. They currently have a 0-5 overall mark and a 0-1 record in the region.  
According to MaxPreps.com, the Lady Bucs sit at 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the region. McIntosh County has dominated the series between the two teams, having won 18 times compared to Long County’s two victories. When the two teams last played, McIntosh County won, 51-37.
The varsity action begins at 6 p.m. with the Lady Tide take the court. The boys’ game will follow at 7:30.
